Join us today at 6pm for our new Saturday worship service. Contemporary in music and conversational in message!

Next Saturday, December 3rd we have our Saturday service at 6pm

On Sunday church is outside of church! What does this mean? We are taking the story of Jesus to the open air! Come and hear….come and serve.

Next Sunday, December 4th we help with set up beginning at 8am and

AT 11AM we hold the Living Nativity program where more than 100 children will sing and dance and tell the story of the birth of Christ! We have activities until 1:30pm with a petting zoo, free llama rides and a free photo booth……oh and did I mention hot chocolate and cookies, free of course!

We are launching a new message series on Sunday, September 11th! Come and join us at either 8:30am (Classic Worship) or 10:30am (Fam Jam…family engaging style).

“Speeding Up By Slowing Down” will help you focus on a process to create margin in your life. We need this.

We are also launching HOME GROUPS. This is a place to continue the discussion and thinking about the BIG TRUTH of God from Sunday in a friendly home environment with a few other people from Concordia. If you want to explore a group this fall, contact melissa@concordiachurch.com

Summer “Everyone’s Family” BBQ and 50th birthday celebration for Pastor

It was an opportunity to enjoy some summer fun and fellowship and celebrate Pastor’s 50th birthday! He also announced the August Vision Gatherings….an opportunity to gather in homes in small groups to talk about where Concordia is going in the next step of the launch!

If you want to hear about the Concordia launch, email pastor@concordiachurch.com or melissa@concordiachurch.com to find a small group in the neighborhood that would be convenient for your schedule. Groups will be meeting throughout august on weekday mornings, evenings or select Saturday mornings.

We are beginning a new message series this Sunday: Creation-My Place in God’s World. Don’t miss it at 8:30am (Classic Worship) or 10:30 FAM JAM

This Sunday you will hear about an upcoming 4th of July Weekend:

4th of July Hometown Wagon/Bike Parade

Sunday, July 3rd from 10 am to noon.

Jesus said, “I am among you as one who serves.” And so, once again, we are cancelling “regular” church so that we can be the church in the community. But this time, we are giving a specific church-wide focus, and location to that service.

Military families are usually far from home. Some are also separated from their immediate family by deployment. So we’re going to serve them on Sunday July 3^rd, by bringing “HOME” a little closer to them…and joining the community – in the community – to do so.

Here’s how:

we’ll make easy 10 block quilts for children of deployed soldiers
pack “Care boxes” for deployed soldiers
make cards for deployed soldiers
make connections to help spouses of deployed military AND
create the feeling of “home” for all by having a “small town” 4^th of July Parade, complete with decorated bikes and trikes.

It all happens Sunday July 3^rd near church, but OUTSIDE church, in Concordia’s field, 10am – noon. For those who want to come early, join us at 8:30am to pray for our nation and the military, but the FOCUS of the day is being the church both with and in the community.

How can you help?

PRAY for the event.

Promote the event by taking some flyers from the lobby to let people in your neighborhood know this free event is happening.

Make and serve freshly squeezed old fashioned Lemonade
Help make an easy 10 block quilt for a child of a deployed soldier.
Help decorate wagon/trike/bikes before the parade on Sunday.

Prepare and/or make a handmade card for inclusion in the care box.

Donate items that will go into the care box. Pick up an empty shoe box and bottle bank for extra change (for postage) in the Preschool lobby. Choose any of these for the care box: Baby wipes, hard candy, small ziplock bags, small crossword or soduko books, trial sized toiletries, single packets of coffee, Crystal Light or Gatorade.
Give us information about a deployed person so we can find out how we can continue to pray and support him/her as they serve our country. (Name, Rank, Branch of Service, Address, Number in his Unit/Dept)JOIN THE EVENT TEAM. This takes a team. Check out 4th.ToDoList and let me know where you would like to help. Taking on a small task makes a big difference.

Pick up an empty box and bottle bank for spare change in the Preschool lobby. Return the box anytime over the next two weeks. Return the spare change bank before Sunday, June 26th.

Sunday is EASTER !!!

Celebrate the miracle of Easter here at Concordia and invite a friend.

FAM JAM at 10:30am Join us for the Easter celebration! We launch the series: “A God of Surprises: How to find good in unexpected places.”

Classic Worship at 8:30am If you enjoy a traditional format and hymns, join us at the Classic Worship to learn about “A God of Surprises.”

Saturday service (NEW!) at 6:00pm Join us for this new service just added for the Easter weekend (but continuing….!) This will be a contemporary worship service.

Carry on the conversation throughout the week and join a HOME group. On Sunday we learn a BIG TRUTH OF GOD and this begins a conversation that can continue throughout the week in the context of HOME groups. Conversation about where life and faith intersect and make friends with other people in your same life stage … or maybe choose a group with people from a variety of life stages!
